## Your Home Dashboard

When you log in, you land on the **Home** page. This is your central hub for tracking what needs your attention.

The Home page has two tabs:

* **My tasks** (default) - Shows courses with upcoming deadlines and a countdown timer
* **My courses** - Quick overview of your enrolled courses

![Learner Home Overview page, My tasks tab selected in the top right next to My courses; single task card for "Business Writing" with subtitle "Writing clear emails, reports, and proposals", red "2 days left" badge, and dark blue "Let's Start!" button on the right. Left sidebar shows Home, My Courses, Explore, Training Schedule, Notifications (5), and user George Zarkadas (Learner)](https://1540991871-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1lKGIWJWcNwQu3kxzBSH%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-9569ed4675a68638e62b1a4f87e2d744fe8fc5b6%2Fhome-my-tasks.png?alt=media)

Click **Let's Start!** on any task card to jump directly into that course.

## Finding Courses

There are two ways courses appear in your account:

### Self-enrollment

Browse available courses yourself:

1. Click **Explore** in the sidebar
2. Browse public courses your organization offers
3. Click **Enroll Now** on any course that interests you
4. Confirm your enrollment in the popup

After enrolling, you have immediate access to start learning.

### Assigned courses

Your manager or admin may enroll you in required training. When this happens:

* The course appears in **My Courses**
* You receive an in-app notification
* You receive an email confirmation

No action needed on your part - the course is ready to start.

## Taking a Course

The typical learning flow:

1. **Course View** - See the course overview, chapters, and your progress percentage
2. **Lessons** - Read content, view images, and interact with embedded documents
3. **Assessments** - Test your knowledge with quizzes
4. **Completion** - When you finish all content, a congratulations message appears

Use the sidebar navigation to move between lessons, or click **Continue Learning** to pick up where you left off.

## Tracking Deadlines

Stay on top of your training schedule:

* **Home > My tasks** - See courses with deadlines and countdown timers
* **Training Schedule** - Calendar view of all your deadlines by month, week, or list

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.nadifor.ai/get-started/get-started/learner-quick-start.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
